PRACTICAL DETAILS FOR YOUR NEXT STEP

Understand your care options.

Helpful details, clear questions and the information to prepare before making an arrangement.

01

Monthly stay-in options

MCS lists Basic RM4,500, Standard RM4,800, Premium RM5,100, Platinum RM6,300 and Royal Elite RM7,500. Basic and Standard are monthly rates; the higher tiers are listed for 30 days. Each tier has its own service list and off-day arrangement, shown in Package Details.

02

Residence, rest and night needs

A live-in caregiver resides at the care address. Residence does not mean one worker provides continuous awake care every hour. The household plan needs sleeping accommodation, rest periods and an account of who covers night assistance or gaps. Keep these arrangements separate from the daytime task list.

03

Off days and replacement costs

Basic lists four off days per month and Standard lists two. Both list replacement at RM200 per off day if that cover is used. For example, four replacement days add RM800 to Basic’s RM4,500 base rate, giving RM5,300 before any other separately agreed charges. This is a calculation example, not a customer case.

What stay-in care means for the household

A stay-in caregiver lives at the agreed care address under the arrangement discussed with the family. Agree the working routine and boundaries before arrival. Living in the home should not be treated as a promise of continuous awake supervision; overnight duties and additional staffing need a separate conversation.

  • Confirm the daily working routine
  • Discuss overnight expectations
  • Agree rest and privacy
05

Planning a practical daily routine

Write down the times when personal assistance is most useful and describe what relatives already do. Include meal preferences, appointments and household access arrangements. A realistic routine gives the caregiver a clearer introduction and helps the family compare whether the proposed package fits the actual work.

  • Map morning and evening tasks
  • Identify existing family support
  • Explain preferred routines
06

Stay-in package costs and replacements

The supplied stay-in list includes Basic, Standard, Premium, Platinum and Royal Elite options. Off days and replacement arrangements differ, so compare the details alongside the headline rate. Ask MCS to confirm the start date, assigned worker, clinical scope where relevant and any extra charges in writing.

  • Compare each package’s terms
  • Confirm off-day arrangements
  • Request a written quotation
